Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented WCB Advisor to join our team, for a 12 month contract. This role is pivotal in providing support to our clients and navigating the complexities of Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) policies and legislation, nationally.

The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records, excellent phone etiquette, and a background in customer support. As a WCB Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring they receive the guidance and assistance they need.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Acting as a direct contact and resource person concerning workers’ compensation claims management issues for client contacts.
Consulting with clients on their rights and responsibilities in accordance with provincial workers’ compensation legislation, policies and procedures.
Managing workplace injury claims and the return to work process.
Ensuring regular and open lines of communication with clients and the provincial Boards.
Reviewing claim files for objectionable items, cost recovery, reduction, transfers or other mitigation purposes.
Filing reports of injury (ie – Form 7), identifying issues for appeal, drafting letters of objection.
Facilitating 3rd party interventions (functional capacity evaluations, independent medical evaluations, etc).
Providing clients with on-site assistance as needed by attending: mediations, field investigations, return to work meetings and provision of workers’ compensation training.
Mandatory Experience and Education

An active paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
Minimum five (5) years experience in WSIB/WCB claims management.
Please be a registered Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in representing employers at the appeals and/or tribunal levels. Only those that can be validated through LSO and CanLii will be considered.
