WHO WE ARE

The Evergreens Foundation is a not-for-profit housing management body proudly supporting independent housing in Alberta. We aim to facilitate quality of life for all of our residents, through our multiple senior and social housing facilities located in Hinton, Jasper, Edson, Grade Cache, Evansburg. We are growing at a fast face and expanding in Victor Lake and Wildwood!

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a permanent part-time Maintenance Helper 1 who is looking to foster a positive environment while being a part of a passionate and a talented team. The position will be 4 days per week, including some weekends. You will assist the Maintenance Team with:

year round grounds keeping and maintenance.
seasonal upkeep of the grounds, parking lots, outdoor decks, and gazebos.
seasonal start-up and shut-down of equipment and outdoor maintenance systems.
regular maintenance of ground keeping machines.
winter snow removal.
assist with general maintenance duties.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR/QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in building maintenance, grounds keeping, or relevant field.
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
Completes assigned tasks and close-off work orders within the time frame given in the response time policy.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time.
Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Demonstrate time management, effective communication, and problem solving skills.
Represent the Foundation with a positive and professional attitude.
Able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, visitors and fellow employees.
NOTE: Hourly rate will be as per The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union No. 955.
