What will be your daily pursuit?:
This position requires relocation to Jasper, Alberta.

Maintaining the upkeep of all facilities including pools, restaurants, guest rooms and meeting rooms

What will you do in this job?:
Supervise the maintenance activities of the property
Assist with the upkeep of all Pursuit company vehicles
Coordinate maintenance activities with Hotel Manager
Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of all staff housing units
Assist with the coordination of all renovations on the property
Communicate, and perform preventative maintenance of the property
Document and ensure proper communication through a maintenance log book
Train and mentor maintenance workers in all aspects of property maintenance
Complete responsibility of all Maintenance Workers on your shift
Prepare schedules for Maintenance Workers and ensure all shifts are covered
Thorough knowledge of fire procedures
Frequent interaction with coworkers, management and guests
Assist with payroll control as it pertains to the Maintenance Department
Landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot cleaning
Ensure, train, and participate in safe work practices
Perform and train staff in the duties of Maintenance Worker as required
Assist the Maintenance Manager with major repairs to guest rooms and other areas
Report to the Chief Engineer and complete all projects and tasks as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a related maintenance field (basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool treatment, and painting)
Must possess excellent mechanical ability and knowledge
Must be able to train staff and give direction
Must be able to perform administrative functions, and a basic knowledge of computers
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of tools and their uses (tools provided)
Ability to manage large workloads and demands, and effectively multitask
Ability to work flexible shifts, such as day (ex. 7am-3pm) or night (ex. 3pm-11pm)
Valid driver’s license (Class 4 Alberta driver’s license is an asset)

Busy. You need to be prepared for a physical working environment with walking, stair climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 50 pounds with assistance) required
